Navistar must structure its mitigation of NO x emissions through one or more projects approved by the EPA that will take into consideration geographic diversity and will benefit communities that are overburdened by air pollution.
Navistar is required to complete this mitigation within four years, and completion requires that Navistar demonstrate that the company mitigated 10, tons of NO x and this will also have the effect of reducing other air pollution from diesel engines including particulate matter :.
