Now it's really hard to do this. You can't just hold the sleep button or reset it or log into your computer and open your files. You have to go onto your computer and then download iTunes on it. Just make sure that when your iPod first tells you that it's disabled for 45 years, you fix it.
Because they will have most likely come out with an update mine did and you will have to update the iPod from inside your computer. Then after that's finished it only gets more complicated. It's not worth "seeing a pro" or spending dollars to get it checked out. All they are going to do is what you can do at your desktop.
